A small shop on the East Coast, run by Chris and his three sons. We don’t carry stock — every coin, cup, keychain, and one-off keepsake we build starts as a commission and ends with a finished piece shipped from the bench.
The family
A family hobby that became a workshop.
Chris retired at 41, on his own terms. He’s 48 now, and the shop is the project that retirement turned into — a place to work with his hands, teach his three sons something real, and keep the day at a pace a small family can sustain. What started as a hobby between the four of them has slowly become the work.
Three Boyz is the name that stuck. It’s not a brand exercise — it’s who answers the email, who runs the laser, who packs the box. We’re a small shop in Atlantic Canada doing made-to-order work at our own pace, one commission at a time.

One self-built CNC mill and three lasers in one shop.
Every piece goes through one of these four machines — depending on the material, the detail required, and the size of the run.

A small-format CNC router Chris designed himself — the structural cuts for caddies, hardwood blanks, and curved edges, hand-finished before heading to the laser.

A 100-watt CO₂ laser for engraving wood, leather, and coated metals — text, line art, and gradients on the first pass.
30 W · fine detail, anodised alu
JPT fibre laser
A 30-watt JPT fibre laser for fine detail on anodised aluminium and coated steel — coins, keychains, and the etched faces that need crisp small geometry.
300 W · deep metal engraving
JPT fibre laser
A 300-watt JPT fibre laser for deep metal engraving at scale — the heavy-lifter for thick stock and high-volume batch runs.

How we work
We carry no stock. Everything is built to your spec.
Two ways to commission a piece — bring something of your own, or bring a one-line idea and we build the rest.

Bring your own item — we’ll engrave it.
A watch, a ring, a travel mug, a knife handle, a leather wallet, a powder-coated tumbler — if it can sit flat under a laser, we can etch on it. Drop us a photo of the item in your brief and we’ll confirm size, finish, and what the engraving will look like on that exact surface.

Build from scratch — bring a sketch, a name, a one-line idea.
A logo, a date, a name, a piece of art you’d like turned into a coin, a keychain, or a hardwood board — we’ll design, cut, engrave, and hand-finish the part. Nothing leaves the shop until you’ve approved the proof.
